Questions
What does it cost to launch?+
About 0.02 SOL, which goes to Solana’s account rent and network fees, not to Mob. A first buy is optional, in the same signature. Your coin’s address is assigned at launch.
Where do trading fees go?+
Every trade pays Mob’s 1.25%. Meteora, which runs the pools, keeps a fifth of the whole trading fee. Of the rest, 90% (about 0.9% of every trade) buys $MOB on the market and burns it, on the public ledger, and 10% goes to the protocol to build Mob.
What are holder rewards?+
A creator may add 0–1% on top of every trade, locked at launch. All of it goes to the coin’s holders in full: Mob’s burn share covers Meteora’s cut of it. It’s paid about every hour in the pair token, once $5 is waiting, to holders worth $20 or more (the largest 200). Pools, Mob’s wallets and the creator’s own wallet never count.
What can I pair my coin with?+
SOL, USDC or USDT, crypto majors (BTC, ETH, HYPE, XRP and more), tokenized stocks (xStocks by Backed, and Backpack Securities), and $MOB once $MOB is live. Stock tokens can be paused by their issuer and aren’t available to US persons.
How are copycats and snipers stopped?+
Anti-vamp blocks a live coin’s ticker, name or picture at launch, lookalikes included. A coin counts as live if it launched in the last 72 hours or is worth $10K or more. Anti-snipe protection is coming soon; until then, every launch pays a flat 1.25% from the first second.
What does the team get?+
No team token allocation, no free tokens and no protocol fees. Any $MOB the team holds, it buys with its own money.
